Beef N' Broccoli Stir Fry with Fried Rice

3 Tbsp. Cornstarch, divided
2 Tbsp. Water
1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 lb. Boneless Round Steak, cut into thin 3-inch strips
3 Tbsp. Vegetable Oil, divided
4 C. Broccoli Florets
1-1/2 Tbsp. Chopped Onion
1/3 C. Kikomans Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
1/2 C. Water, (possibly add)
1 C. Uncooked Rice
2 Eggs, stirred
2 Tbsp. Kikoman's Soy Sauce (or desired amount)

Cook uncooked rice as directed on the package. Set aside and allow to cool.

In a medium size Tupperware combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water and garlic powder until smooth. Add the beef and toss until evenly coated.

In a large skillet or wok, over medium-high heat, stir-fry beef in 1-1/2 tablespoons of vegetable oil until beef reaches desired doneness. About 3-5 minutes. Remove and keep warm.

Stir-fry broccoli and onion in another 1-1/2 tablespoons of vegetable oil for about 4-5 minutes. Return the beef to skillet or wok.

Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1/2 cup water until smooth; adding to the skillet or wok.

Cook and stir for about 2 minutes. Allow to simmer while preparing the fried rice.

FRIED RICE:
Stir eggs in a small bowl and pouring onto med-high heated pan. Scramble eggs well, making sure they are not too done and dry. Set aside in a small bowl.

Pour cooled rice onto the med-high heated pan and stir-fry for about 3 minutes. Add desired amount of soy sauce and prepared eggs to the rice. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes. Add fried rice to the stir-fry mixture in the skillet or wok. Stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

YIELDS: 4 Servings
Beginners Recipe: So easy to make

*I have never tried this recipe without Kikoman's soy sauce so I don't know the difference. However, I do know that without a doubt this is an incredible meal to serve your family. Have fun with it and eat with chopsticks.
