Pretzel Salad

Crust:
2 C. mashed Pretzels
3 Tbsp. Sugar
3/4 Tbsp. Butter, melted

Melt butter in microwave, adding sugar and stirring well. Mix in with mashed pretzels. Press onto bottom of 9x13 pan. Bake 5 minutes at 400 degrees. Let cool.

Cream Cheese Layer:
1 (8oz.) Cream Cheese
1 C. Sugar
1 (8oz) Cool Whip

Mix cream cheese, sugar and cool whip and spread over the cooled crust. *Make sure it is cooled as you do not want it to melt your cream cheese layer. Place in fridge until your gelatin layer.

Gelatin Layer:
1 (6oz.) Jell-O (flavor of choice)
2 C. Boiling Water
1 sm. bag Frozen Fruit (your choice) -do not thaw

Place gelatin in a medium size bowl - adding boiling water and stirring until completely dissolved. Add the frozen fruit of your choice to the gelatin mix and stirring thoroughly. Place in fridge to allow the gelatin to set a little. About 5 minutes.

Layer slightly set gelatin mix over top of cream cheese layer. Chill until firm.

*I have even allowed my gelatin to sit in fridge for 10 - 15 minutes for a more layered top.

*It is fun to mix up the gelatin and the fruit.
Try: Strawberry gelatin with frozen mixed berries.
Raspberry gelatin with frozen strawberries.

This is as easy to make as it is deliscious to eat. Mmmm!! Is Thanksgiving here yet?
