Fettuccine Alfredo, OG style

1/2 C. Butter
2 Tbsp. Cream Cheese
1 pint Heavy cream
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
Dashes Salt
Dashes Black Pepper
2/3 C. Parmesan Cheese (preferably fresh)
1 lb. Fettuccine, prepared as directed

In a medium saucepan, melt better.

When butter is melted, add cream cheese.

When the cream cheese is softened, add heavy cream.

Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Allow to simmer for 15-20 minutes over a low heat, stirring often.

Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan.

Pour over hot fettuccine noodles.

I've tried a lot of fettuccine recipes as I am married to an Italian food nut. Look no further - as this is the easiest and arguably the most delicious fettuccine. However - you ought to compare with the Creamy Chicken Alfredo as that one is a close favorite.

  • Make extra sauce and prepare grilled chicken slices for a chicken fettuccine meal.
  • Prepare steamed broccoli as a complementing side dish.

Go nuts ... this is delizioso and definitely a family favorite.
